ABOUT THE CONCERT
When one hears "Czech artists in interwar France" today, names like František Kupka and Toyen immediately come to mind. But if you said the same to an art lover in 1920s Paris, they would likely think of Georges Kars or Othon Coubine first. Surprisingly, they were also Czech natives, much like Bohuslav Martinů and Vítězslava Kaprálová. The December concert is being held in conjunction with the exhibition "École de Paris: Artists from Bohemia and Interwar Paris," which will adorn the Valdštejn Riding School from November 2024 to March 2025. The musical counterpart at the Anežský Monastery will feature cellist Vilém Vlček and pianist Marek Kozák.
