Missa Dei Filii

Towards the end of his life, Zelenka set out to cre - ate a collection of six final Masses. The project remained unfinished, leaving only a fragment of three compositions, which nonetheless represent an undisputed pinnacle of Zelenka’s output. The second Mass in the series, dedicated to the Son of God, is a work overflowing with inward expres - sion and dazzling virtuosity.
