Morning Concerts 2026/2027
The venue most closely associated with the Czech Chamber Music Society is the Rudolfinum, but for many years now, there has also been an especially popular series held at Martinů Hall. In the special atmosphere of morning in Malá Strana, again this year you will be able to enjoy six concerts, this time with a strong flavour of South America.
Description
South America is the inspiration for the first morning concert featuring two guitars, then the second concert is a tribute to the King of the Tango, Ástor Piazzolla. In the case of the Janáček Ensemble, the stage will be reserved exclusively for wind instruments and music of the 20th century. By contrast, Jakub Kydlíček and Vojtěch Spurný will play music that is a few centuries older on their Bach programme. Michaela Káčerková and Ondřej Vrabec explore the possibilities of combining French horn and organ. To conclude the series, we again recall this season’s South American leitmotiv: the youthful Kukal Quartet will play music by Ginastera and Piazzolla.
