The second premiere of the 2025/2026 season by the junior company will take place in February under the title NdB 2: Dispute / Archa / Inside. The eighth premiere evening will present three original choreographies created specifically for NdB2. This dramaturgically diverse triptych brings together three distinct artistic perspectives that develop the interpretative skills of young dancers while responding to themes accompanying them on their path toward mature artistic expression.
Archa, choreographed by Uladzimir Ivanou, offers a symbolic vision of the world as a single refuge whose future lies in human behavior. The choreography draws inspiration from apocalyptic imagery and works with the metaphor of the planet as a place that can be protected—or destroyed. Its distinctive movement language reveals the tension between the human capacity to create and the tendency to undermine everything through recklessness. The original choreography was presented within the DSB framework and now appears in an expanded version on the stage of the Reduta Theatre.
Dispute follows the story of two young people whose relationship is threatened not only by present doubts but, above all, by echoes of the past that continually return. A third character enters their duet, transforming what was once a clear path into a landscape of uncertainty and decisions that may shape their future lives. Mário Radačovský employs subtle psychological characterization and, to the music of Yann Tiersen, unfolds a drama in which love confronts what cannot simply be forgotten.
Inside addresses the theme of the individual standing against a system that seeks to dictate human behavior and thinking. A character enters this confined environment, disrupts established rules, and raises the question of what happens when someone refuses to conform to the majority. Markéta Pimek Habalová works with group dynamics, the pressure of authority, and the inner human need to seek one’s own path. Inside opens a space for interpretation in which the tension between obedience and the desire for authenticity becomes the main source of dramatic effect.
