Advent Concert I • Quintetto della Trota
The Quintetto della Trota takes us to Vienna at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The ensemble of leading members of the Czech Philharmonic string section will play charming works by the now less well-known composer Franz Anton Hoffmeister, a contemporary of the Viennese Classical masters, as well as a work by Franz Schubert—his popular “Trout Quintet”, from which the ensemble has borrowed its name.
