ABOUT THE SUBSCRIPTION
This year, the Recital Series is appearing in Czech Chamber Music Society programming for only the fifth time. In this short period of time, however, it has already offered several top solo performers, and it will be no different in the jubilee 130th season of the Czech Chamber Music Society.
We will begin in late September with an appearance by Grammy winner Daniil Trifonov, this year’s Artist-in-Residence with the Czech Philharmonic. In December, we will be welcoming Czech stars: appearing in a recital of works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Josef Suk, and Dmitri Shostakovich are the Czech Philharmonic cello concertmaster Václav Petr and the pianist Martin Kozák. Federico Colli’s recital will take us back to his pure piano artistry, which our audience first witnessed in February 2022. The recital series will end with an extraordinary concert by baritone Michael Volle, who is currently starring as Verdi’s Falstaff at the Metropolitan Opera.
