ABOUT THE SUBSCRIPTION
For ballet enthusiasts, we have prepared four premieres that the Ballet ensemble has put together. This will cater to lovers of neoclassical and contemporary choreographies alike.
We'll start with the world premiere of an original ballet choreographed by Viktor Konvalinka and with music by Ivan Acher titled "Sunshade, Moonshade, and Windshade." This story about three princesses fearlessly venturing into the world is inspired by the fairy tale by Božena Němcová.
Also, Maura Bigonzetti's "Scheherazade" presents a world premiere created directly for our ensemble. This great innovator of modern dance, along with his collaborator Carlo Cerri, will present an exquisite spectacle with Oriental aesthetics and delicate sensuality.
Who wouldn't know the whimsical Manon Lescaut and wouldn't want to dream alongside her for a moment? The beloved novel by Abbé Prévost will be seen in a choreographic and directorial adaptation by Sir Kenneth MacMillan, accompanied by music by Jules Massenet. Manon escapes poverty, yearning for love but also for wealth. Will she win her battle with destiny?
We bid farewell with a triptych of contemporary dance called "Sarcasms." Its parts consist of choreographies by Andrej Kajdanovský, Hans van Manen, and Eyal Dadon. You may already be familiar with these names from previous productions in our theaters - "Slavic Temperament," "Beyond Vibrations," and "bpm."
Dance through the entire season with us and enjoy its dynamics to the fullest!
As part of the subscription, you'll also have the opportunity to visit three beautiful venues where the performances take place - the National Theatre building, the Estates Theatre, and the State Opera.
